Most famous graphic artist of the 19th Century: Toulouse-Lautrec. This is one of his iconic posters of famed dancer Jane Avril, 1893.
Note the textures. Subtle colors except for bright orange and bright pop of marigold yellow. This draws attention to her legs. As a legendary Can-Can dancer, often without underpants, gives this even more importance.
Lautrec used color to add vital details to the story. Think about that when YOU create a graphic, be it a photo, lettering, illustration or combo.
Have fun! Oh la la!
