WordPress has radically different editor in Gutenberg. Be prepared to spend time to learn new interface. :'(
Unless you use Divi. I’m still using Divi Classic Editor. I just don’t have time to re-learn what I’ve learned. But will have to cos dunno how much longer Divi Classic Editor will be offered.
(FOLLOW ElegantThemes directions for updating Divi theme and DiviBuilder FIRST.)
Before updating, back up, deactivate and update Plugins, then update WP. Turn plugs on one at a time, and check site, after updating WP. IF you want to be on safe side. (I did not do that and lost hours and hours of work. That was no fun!)
SiteGround automatically doing that for its customers. What I wrote is what their Live Chat told me last night.
The BIGGER issue for me is the totally new Editor. 😟
I couldn’t find where they hid the Coding function. On the right, but not easily accessible IMHO. 🤨
Lots of little icons and everything moved around.
You might wanna check out Squarespace. I’ve been seeing amazing small biz sites with tons of features, all in SS.
WP is exhausting, between finding, updating plugins, figuring out how to use them, and being on your own. 😵
I LOVE designing my own layouts. But at this point, I have other work to do. How many years must I give to WP just to have very customized layouts? SMH.
Just a thought. Squarespace looking good! 😍 Just one long-time WP user’s take, that’s all. Much success to all.
